Sandy found her calling in supporting survivors of gender-based violence after enrolling and graduating from the Assaulted Women & Children Counsellor/Advocate program at George Brown. A radical Latinx feminist, Sandy is dedicated to the empowerment of women, gender-diverse, two-spirit and trans folks and working towards collective liberation especially within marginalized communities, and is passionate about social activism, decolonization and community care.
She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Social Development Studies at Waterloo University.
