Our Halton chapter of WomenatthecentrE held a fantastic event for Take Back the Night, the international event to stop violence against women. Our member Juliana Hakim gave the key note address at the event, held at the Burlington Central Arena.
On Saturday July 30th, WomenatthecentrE members and Outward Bound facilitators participated in the wall climb portion of the WE WOC programme, at the Evergreen Brickworks.
From July 9th to the 17th, a group of WomenatthecentrE members and Outward Bound facilitators participated in the OB/WE WOC Advocacy & Adventure trek along the French River.

On May 5th, Nneka MacGregor was invited to deliver a workshop for the Conference on South Asian & family Violence. It consisted of a panel presentation, focused on VAW & Religion, with police officer Laura Langdon of the Toronto Police.
On April 29th, our executive director Nneka MacGregor delievered the key note address at the fundraising gala for the Julie Crocker and Paula Menedez Foundation.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Womenโs Multicultural Counselling & Resource Centre of Durham invited our executive director Nneka MacGregor to deliver the key note address at their event held at the Ajax Community Centre.

WomenatthecentrE has become an official partner of Outward Bound! Today was the photoshoot for Outward Bound Canada’s ‘Partners in Women of Courage’ programme, which took place at Evergreen Brickworks.
